The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, is scheduled to attend the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before hosting the German Chancellor on an official visit to Palacio Nacional. A press conference has been announced for November 20 to provide details of the meeting, which is expected to be private.

Juan Ramón de la Fuente, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), previously revealed that the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, would visit Mexico accompanied by a group of business leaders. During a meeting with ambassadors from 86 countries and 43 international organizations in Mexico, the country's interest in strengthening relations with the European Union was highlighted, particularly in modernizing the Global Agreement.

De la Fuente mentioned: "The European Union is Mexico's third largest trading partner, from which five of the ten leading investing countries in our country come. A broad agreement, based on political dialogue and cooperation, is expected to address economic, trade, climate change, human rights, and humanitarian aid issues."

In a complicated international context, there are threats that challenge international law. Mexico's foreign policy is based on constitutional principles and a commitment to an international order that promotes solidarity, justice, equality, and freedom.

During the visit of the German Chancellor, it is expected to strengthen the relationship between Mexico and Europe by modernizing the Global Agreement, reflecting mutual interests. Claudia Sheinbaum will host at Palacio Nacional, receiving her first international guest on an official visit, highlighting the interest of Germany and other European countries in investing in Mexico.
